Like Kylian Mbappé, Zinedine Zidane has become one of the privileged partners of Sorare, a game for exchanging digital stickers.
Sorare is arguably carrying out the best recruiting campaign this summer. In June, the young French start-up had indeed announced a first (very) big blow thanks to a partnership agreement with Kylian Mbappé. In addition to becoming one of the ambassadors of the French start-up, which has just raised 600 million euros and is considered one of the tricolor tech unicorns, the Parisian striker has also entered the capital. of the football-based NFT platform.
And Sorare did not stop there. The start-up announced on Tuesday a new collaboration with Zinedine Zidane. “I grew up watching Zidane win the World Cup for France in 1998. This partnership with one of the greatest footballers in the world is a dream come true for us, rejoiced Nicolas Julia, one of the co-founders of Sorare, in the columns of L’Indépendant. Our mission at Sorare is to connect and engage fans more with the beautiful game and Zidane shares that vision. This announcement was also the occasion for the launch of a legend card featuring the hero of July 12, 1998.
With more than 2 million users worldwide, Sorare has quickly become a big name in the NFT industry, the company already being a partner of 245 football clubs, including FC Barcelona, Liverpool or PSG. The object of the game is to acquire unique footballer cards in order to build a team and compete against other players, via different championships. Internet users can sell and buy these cards throughout the year with a fluctuating price according to supply and demand, like what can be done on the stock exchange.
