Collateral victim of the spectacular accident of Guanyu Zhou, whose Alfa Romeo ended up pulverized against a protective fence this Sunday at Silverstone, Alexander Albon finally suffered a harsher shock than his Chinese counterpart.
Hit by Sebastian Vettel’s Aston Martin as he slowed down in the face of Zhou’s crash, the Thai driver was thus thrown into the safety rail before being hit twice, on both sides, by the ‘Alpine by Esteban Ocon and the Alpha Tauri by Yuki Tsunoda.
Extracted from his Williams and transported to the medical center of the British Grand Prix circuit, the person concerned, admittedly conscious, had to be evacuated by helicopter to Coventry hospital to undergo more examinations.
