Entering its final development phase, the electric utility designed jointly by Amazon and Rivian is beginning to be seen on the road.
A Twitter user by the name of MissGoElectric was able to see this new vehicle near Detroit. The video she shared of it shows a rather imposing electric utility.
The one who is also a YouTuber passed by the “zero emission” van in her Tesla Model S. The American noted, not without a certain astonishment, the imposing size of the van.
This is the first time this Amazon Rivian utility has shown itself in the real world. This is therefore the first opportunity we have to compare it to an environment, and to see its size. If its very American appearance already made it a unique vehicle, its size will prevent it from being confused with another delivery van.
If its autonomy is likely to be reduced, its load capacity should however be very impressive. The first patent filings reported a load capacity of 14 m3. A 20 m3 version will arrive later, and the rumor also mentions a 25 m3.
Look what I just spotted! HAS @Rivian @amazon Van charging at a (rather rusty 😅) @evgonetwork station in Woodhaven, Michigan 👀
So cool to see one in person!! It’s so big 😳 pic.twitter.com/Yov3CFQ2uh
