Born in Lugano, Switzerland, where his father was a professional basketball player, Anthony Polite joined Boca Raton high school in Florida, before joining Florida State University (that of Jonathan Isaac, Scottie Barnes or Dwayne Bacon), in Tallahassee in 2017. He only played one game in his first season due to a knee injury, then went on to play 106 NCAA games, finishing last season averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
