The extreme hypercar, launched in 2016, ends its production for Europe, while all models were already sold. It is also the end of an era, since the replacement for the Chiron will not take over the delirious W16 engine quad-turbo of 1500 horsepower, but one will have a hybrid engine more modern, taking advantage of the synergy with Rimac Automobili, which has owned the Alsatian brand since last year.
These three special Chiron and Chiron Sport are baptized “l’ébé” in honor of L’Ebé Maria Theresa Bugatti, the eldest daughter of Ettore Bugatti. The one who bore her father’s initials in her name, was a privileged witness to the rise of the brand, and will notably publish a book rich in anecdotes and details on the saga of the father, “the story of Bugatti”. The baby was also a great lover of Art Deco, which inspired the designers for the finishing of the three unique Chirons that we are presenting today.
Hand-made, these three hypercars are adorned with Art Deco-style golden details. In a dark blue carbon that echoes the victorious Type 57G Tank in 1937, the Chiron is highlighted here by numerous golden inserts on the contours of the grille, the lines going from the grille to the spoiler passing on the roof or the wings, the badges, the rims or even the rear diffuser and even certain elements of the W16 engine. A “L’Ébé” signature in italics is discreetly placed under the retractable spoiler, as well as on the door sills and headrests.
On board, the atmosphere reiterates these nuances with blue carbon and dark blue leather alongside light beige leather, the whole being reversed on the passenger side. On the trim of the driver’s door, the beige leather is adorned with a unique motif presenting five iconic cars of the brand: from the first cars that took part in the Grand Prix to the Chiron, via the EB110 and the Veyron. . The same embroidery is placed on the passenger door, the colors being reversed.
to summarize
Bugatti perpetuates exceptional automotive art, almost beyond time and reality. These three Chiron and Chiron Sport l’ébé pay homage to the eldest daughter of Ettore Bugatti with a blue carbon livery adorned with numerous golden inserts.
