As the Tesla Cybertruck nears manufacturing, Elon Musk announces a new four-motor version.
If it has not yet seen the light of day definitively, the Tesla Cybertruck is still talking about it: chaining delays while the order book is filling up, the electric pick-up announces its characteristics in dribs and drabs. And while three versions were initially to see the light of day, Elon Musk has just announced the arrival of a new version.
After erasing the details of the range from its dedicated site, the American brand will initially offer a Tesla Cybertruck with four electric motors. This is what Elon Musk vaguely indicated on Twitter (as usual), specifying some technical information.
Initial production will be 4 motor variant, with independent, ultra fast response torque control of each wheel

With one motor more than the initial top-of-the-range version (therefore a three-motor), the electric utility will have torque vector control and independent power management for each wheel. This should significantly improve its performance off the beaten track.
In addition, it will also have steering rear wheels that will turn in the same direction as the front wheels, in order to offer a “Crab Fashion” similar to the Hummer EV. On the other hand, Elon Musk was not so talkative to discuss a release date or a possible price range.
