188.8 million euros to be shared
The Commission announced this week the winners of a call for infrastructure projects launched last November.
A total of 26 projects have been selected and will be allocated 188.8 million euros. Stated objective: to finance the installation of nearly 2,000 charging stations and 63 hydrogen stations along the main European corridors.
TotalEnergies: big “winner”
TotalEnergies seems to be the “big winner” from the results of the call for projects. The French energy group will indeed receive 26 million euros for the deployment of 15 stations, including one equipped with an electrolyser. These will be spread over five European countries: Austria, Germany, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
Hype is no slouch
With just over 18 million euros, Hype Assets is not to be outdone and also pockets a tidy sum to finance its project to deploy 18 hydrogen refueling stations.
Located in “urban nodes”, these will be distributed between France, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. 3 of them will include on-site hydrogen production.
Our opinion, by leblogauto.com
Other French deployment projects funded by Europe include those led by Hynamics (4 stations), Verso Energy (3 stations), H2 Créteil (1 station) and Rouen Vallée Hydrogène (1 station).
The European Union is definitely putting the package on alternative fuels… out of conviction…. or to create jobs and fuel growth?
