The lessor LeasePlan has sealed an agreement with Arrival for the supply of electric utilities. The start-up’s delivery vehicles will soon arrive in the LLD specialist’s catalog.
For several months, LeasePlan has established several operations to green its fleet and facilities. It is now on the side of utility vehicles that the Dutch firm is turning. Indeed, the rental company has signed a partnership with Arrival regarding the start-up’s electric utility vehicle. Arrival should thus deliver 3,000 “zero emission” utility vehicles to its new customer in the current quarter.
At the same time, LeasePlan will become Arrival’s partner to offer the manufacturer’s vehicles for leasing. LeasePlan wants to be able to establish itself in urban areas, where “zero emissions” will quickly become essential for last-mile deliveries.
“The demand for online shopping is growing, but it must be responded to responsibly”explains Tex Gunning, CEO of LeasePlan. “Concerns about pollution from delivery vehicles need to be addressed. »
