By acquiring a 100% battery-powered Volvo FE, Luxo Bennes is a pioneer and becomes the first transport player to use an electric vehicle in the waste collection sector. This vehicle will be operated mainly in Greater Paris, for the collection of waste on construction sites.
The delivery of the first electric vehicle for Luxo Bennes took place on June 23, at their Massy site, in the presence of several of their customers, the bodybuilder HYVA and representatives of Volvo Trucks.
This Volvo FE equipped with a tipper with chain gantry is the first electric vehicle with this equipment in France. He will carry out professional waste collection missions on construction sites in the Paris region.
A charging solution with Autorecharge
Two terminals will be installed at Luxo Bennes. A 22 kW AC (Alternating Current) terminal for night-time charging operations and a DC 90 kW or DC 160 kW (Direct Current) terminal to maximize vehicle use.
