Really Jazz: Blue Lab Beats
Following the release in 2020 of the album Blue Note RE: imaginedthe London duo jumps into the musical heritage of the Blue Note label with both feet with the release of Motherland Journey. The last two pearls from the UK electro movement devote themselves to a brilliant exercise between techno and revisited jazz, with beats marked enough without imposing a drastic transformation of the original pieces. The album keeps a hypnotic side, but with a tenfold virility, tinged with soul and funk. The jazztronica of awakened twenty-somethings.
