For several years, Renault Trucks has offered an ever-expanding range of electric trucks and its sales volumes reflect this rapid progress: in 2021, 249 electric trucks were delivered and 613 were ordered.
Today, Renault Trucks is accelerating its strategy with higher ambitions. The manufacturer intends to achieve 50% of its volumes in electric in 2030 and, in 2040, 100% of the vehicles it will market will be carbon neutral.
To support these ambitions, Renault Trucks is entering a new era and is deploying an offer geared towards full support for hauliers in their transition to carbon neutrality. This new electric offer called E-Tech and refocused on the 360° support of its customers replaces the current offer of ZE electric trucks
Renault Trucks, partner in decarbonization
The Renault Trucks E-Tech offer is based as much on a proven range of electric vehicles as on complete support for customers in their energy transition, from their acquisition project to monitoring the operation of their electric trucks.
This 360° support is divided into four phases:
1. A first phase during which the customer is supported by Renault Trucks in the definition of its decarbonization project, in the study and definition of its needs. The manufacturer brings here its expertise of the solutions available on the market and its understanding of the business constraints of its customers.
2. A second diagnosis phase, which is based on precise knowledge of the customer’s activity: analysis of the fleet and routes, analysis of the sites’ electrical installation, etc. It incorporates simulation tools to facilitate customer decision-making and activity monitoring: carbon emissions reduction simulator, autonomy simulator, etc. Following this diagnosis, Renault Trucks provides the customer with a complete recommendation, which notably includes an implementation schedule and a projection of the reduction of CO2 emissions for the years to come.
3. Then, a phase during which Renault Trucks becomes the architect of the decarbonization project and co-constructs, with its customer, its new electric mobility ecosystem. A solution that integrates financing, consideration of local or government subsidies, definition and configuration of the complete truck with its equipment and bodywork, site charging infrastructure, maintenance contracts, etc. It is during this phase that Renault Trucks provides an electric truck to its customer, so that he can test it in real operating conditions.
4. In the last phase, Renault Trucks is the prime contractor for its customer’s decarbonization solution: installation of the charging infrastructure on the customer’s sites, training of drivers and fleet managers, etc. Finally, Renault Trucks and its network support customers in the operational monitoring of their fleet, thanks to vehicle connectivity. The manufacturer thus offers monitoring of the charging infrastructure, monitoring of driving and consumption and any proposals for optimization, recommendation of routes, or even optimization of maintenance operations.
Carriers need concrete support in their transition to electric. Renault Trucks stands by their side in their decarbonization project, with support based on expertise, anticipation, proximity, serenity and speed of execution.
