” This fourth service point in Île-de-France will allow us to considerably improve the service to our customers in western Paris and those in transit, who will find all the services for the maintenance and repair of their vehicles nearby. says Dirk Stüben, director of Scania Île-de-France. In addition, a sales consultant will cover the area.
Entirely new and meeting BBC (Low Energy Building) standards, the new establishment is located on 10,000 m² of land, offering large parking spaces and vehicle exhibition.
The building itself houses a workshop area of 1,200 m², with five crossing spans, one of which is equipped with a double lifting bridge allowing the lifting of a tractor, rigid or coach and, depending on the needs, a complete tractor/semi-trailer unit. -trailer. This system, unique in the Scania network, avoids the traditional pit and allows working in the best conditions. A spare parts store and a space dedicated to welcoming drivers complete the equipment.
At the forefront of the environment
For this new Scania workshop, the environment has been largely taken into account. CO2 emissions will be drastically reduced, thanks in particular to the heating provided by a heat pump. An oil distribution system is also planned, with of course the recycling of used oils as well as the recovery of rainwater. All waste will be sorted and recycled.
” From the design stage, we have provided for pre-equipment with electric charging stations. Gas detection is installed in the workshop, in order to be able to intervene on CNG and LNG vehicles, for our customers who are already equipped with vehicles running on alternative energies“, adds Yves Thépaut, network and strategy director at Scania France.
At the opening, seven people will animate this new establishment. Enough to meet the expectations of Scania customers who operate more than 300 trucks, coaches and buses in the sector.
