Pagani unveils a new version of its Huayra called Codalunga, in homage to the cars of the 24 Hours of Le Mans of the 1960s. Only five copies will be manufactured, for a unit price of 7 million euros.
Pagani has been producing its Huayra for more than ten years now, which has come in many versions over the years, including the unique Pearl, Hermes and NC models to name but a few. While the Italian girl is preparing a new supercar, which should arrive during the month of September, she gratifies us with a very special new series, designed with the help of two collectors and customers of the brand. A project that dates back to 2018 and whose culmination is the revelation today of this new, very exclusive version.
It then drew its inspiration from the racing cars entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1960s. Designed by the Grandi Complicazioni department, which specializes in the creation of unique or very limited models, this Pagani Huayra Codalunga is distinguished by a style unique, with its very fashionable “Longtail” bodywork. Many one-offs use this silhouette, including the superb McLaren Speedtail, among others. This exclusive version of the Pagani Huayra is therefore no exception, but also differs from the standard version by an increase in length of 36 centimeters.
An exclusive release
This variant has also been the subject of significant work on aerodynamics, since it benefits in particular from active flaps, which modify the flow of air according to the behavior adopted. Using composite materials, the supercar then displays a more than reasonable weight on the scale, around 1,290 kilos only. It also has a titanium and ceramic exhaust, weighing only 4.4 kilos. A real tour de force. On board, the whole is obviously very luxurious, with its quilted seats in Nubuck leather and its metal elements.
Under its hood, this Pagani Huayra Codalunga has an already well-known V12, whose power now goes from 730 horsepower and 1,000 Nm to 840 equines and 1,100 Nm. On the other hand, the figures for 0 to 100 km/h and the maximum speed have not been announced by the manufacturer, which remains very mysterious on this point. But there is no doubt that the performance is even more insane than that of the standard version.
Anyway, you shouldn’t have the opportunity to cross paths with the Italian supercar much, since only five copies will be made, and of course, they are all already sold. It is then necessary to count no less than seven million euros for each unit.
