Supervan has developed an electric utility for the Do-it-yourself brand Point.P. At the heart of this partnership: 100% “zero emission” deliveries in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
Point.P continues the energy transition of its fleet. The sign had taken such steps with gas vehicles and river transport. It now continues with electric utilities dedicated to urban deliveries in Paris. Based on the Volkswagen e-crafter, two vehicles have been prepared for the famous DIY brand. They were assigned to the Javel and Point du Jour agencies, respectively located in the 15th and 16th arrondissements of Paris.
These two vehicles will each make, initially, four deliveries per day. Autonomy being limited to 170 km, deliveries must be less than nine kilometers from Paris.
The VW vans used by Point.P can carry up to 900 kilos of goods and offer 11 m3 of storage space. The vans will plug into 22 kW terminals that Point.P has installed in its two branches. Customers will also have daytime access.
For Point.P, the integration of these first two vehicles is only a first phase. If the experience is conclusive, other branches of the sign could soon be equipped.
