A youth in Switzerland and Florida
Born in Lugano, Switzerland, where his father was a professional basketball player, Anthony Polite joined Boca Raton high school in Florida, before joining Florida State University (that of Jonathan Isaac, Scottie Barnes or Dwayne Bacon), in Tallahassee in 2017. He only played one game in his first season due to a knee injury, then went on to play 106 NCAA games, finishing last season averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists. It is therefore a bet that the club chaired by Tony Parker is trying, with a player who will make his debut in Betclic Elite and in the Euroleague. Antony Polite is currently playing in the NBA Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs, and there is no doubt that the president of ASVEL has received good feedback from the Texas franchise that he has made shine for almost two decades. The Swiss player is the sixth summer recruit of the French champion club, after Nando De Colo, Amine Noua, Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Retin Obasohan and Jonah Mathews.
