RATP is investigating its electric buses
This is the second incident of this type to occur in less than a month on a Bolloré Bluebus 5SE. Indeed, a first electric bus had caught fire, on April 4, for an undetermined reason. He was driving that he was driving on the boulevard Saint-Germain, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. According to the authorities, there were no injuries from these two electric bus fires.
After the second fire, the RATP requested full expertise from the manufacturer in order to determine the causes of these incidents on the electric buses, before being able to put them back into circulation “in complete safety. »
At the head of a fleet of 4,700 buses, including 500 electric from three different manufacturers, the RATP wanted to recall that it “has been operating electric buses since 2016 without major incident. »
