This contract adds to a previous order of 16 vehicles of the same model and is the largest commercial order to date for Volvo electric trucks.
The order comes from Performance Team, a member of the Maersk group, and brings to 126 the number of these electric trucks at the service of Performance Team.

The Class 8 electric trucks will be used for various transportation missions in California, around ports and on warehouse distribution routes.
The Volvo VNR Electric has a maximum range of 440 km and stores up to 565 kWh. The truck can be recharged in 90 minutes with six batteries and in 60 minutes with the four-battery version. The Volvo VNR Electric is produced at Volvo Trucks’ plant in New River Valley, Virginia, the exclusive production site for all Volvo trucks in North America.
50% electric sales by 2030
Volvo Trucks has set an ambitious target for half of its trucks sold worldwide to be electric by 2030.
