Renault Trucks supports its customers during all stages of their energy transition. The installation of charging infrastructure at the depot and connection to the public electricity grid are key steps in the transition to electricity. Renault Trucks has thus established a coordination partnership with the operator of the French electricity distribution network Enedis, which aims to facilitate the connection of Renault Trucks customers with Enedis to accelerate the implementation of the infrastructures necessary for the loading of their trucks. electricity, with a view to enabling the ecological transition throughout the territory and for all customers.
Enedis and Renault Trucks have developed a system dedicated to the manufacturer’s customers. In concrete terms, Renault Trucks customers will benefit from a preliminary study by Enedis to assess the feasibility of their connection project. The return, within a very short period of 15 days, of the first level of analysis will determine whether the connection is feasible without substantial modification of the electrical network upstream, whether an additional analysis must be carried out, or whether an adaptation of the network is necessary.
Depending on the result of this preliminary study, the Renault Trucks customer may decide to carry out his connection project and formulate his request to Enedis. Thanks to close and regular collaboration with the operational teams of Enedis, Renault Trucks will follow, in real time, the progress of each stage of the project to connect its customers (feasibility study, file submission, start of work, or further commissioning of infrastructure)
” For Enedis, this partnership contributes concretely to promoting and accelerating the electrification of heavy mobility. It is perfectly in line with Enedis’ commitment, which supports all its customers in their electric mobility projects, to facilitate their journey, anticipate the power needs for recharging their electric vehicles and make it available to them in the best conditions of quality and deadlines from the distribution network. This is exactly the spirit of this partnership with Renault Trucks: bringing our respective expertise to the service of the customer, to facilitate the implementation of his electrification project. », specifies Pierre de Firmas, Electric Mobility Director of Enedis.
” Connection to the public grid is a crucial point for carriers who are committed to decarbonizing their activities through electricity », continues Christophe Martin, Managing Director of Renault Trucks France. ” Our objective, as the leader in electric trucks in France, is to facilitate the energy transition of our customers by offering them a turnkey offer that covers the entire electric vehicle ecosystem. The partnership that we have just entered into with Enedis is an illustration of this. »
