Carol White is an executive assistant and safety manager at Atelier du Bois.
“Our twelve employees come to work by car and use vehicles for their work. At Atelier du Bois, road safety is therefore one of the pillars of prevention and of our DNA, like sustainable development because we produce eco-designed windows. We have implemented several actions. First of all, we ask each employee if he is up to date with his license points. When he comes on two wheels, we insist on wearing a helmet and a yellow vest. We even have minors sign a certificate to this effect to make them responsible.
We also ask all employees to park in vigilance mode to be ready to leave and our vans all carry a sticker on the back to warn against blind spots. We have also signed the charter of “seven commitments for a safer road” which we apply internally. In addition, we educated our employees for half a day on the Albi circuit a few years ago, and we intend to do so again.
L’Atelier du Bois is regularly involved in the special road safety day of our construction federation. During this day organized with occupational medicine, the police and the gendarmerie, we follow workshops to raise awareness of road safety and prevention of addictions. This is done, for example, through quizzes and simulators that put the person in a situation of alcoholism. »
