ID Logistics Germany: expertise and development at the heart of the strategy
Present in this market since 2013, following the acquisition of the company CEPL (400 employees, 3 sites: Gemersheim, Weilbach or Mittelstadt), ID Logistics has continued to develop and, from 2019, joined the Top 5 providers specializing in e-commerce.
Recognized in the country for the quality of its services and solutions for the retail, home furnishings, e-commerce and cosmetics industries, ID Logistics Germany now has 3,800 employees, spread over 10 sites, i.e. more than 530,000 m² of warehouses.
Initially present in the cosmetics sector with clients such as Coty, Yves Rocher and Nobilis, the company quickly established itself on the e-commerce market. Thus, for 5 years, ID Logistics has supported the e-commerce logistics of the global furniture giant on its Dortmund site and also manages a 156,000 m² logistics platform in Salzgitter. It also supports the German e-commerce leader on several sites and offers different types of services for this client (order preparation, packaging, cross-docking and distribution, etc.).
This successful growth is the result of several factors:
- Services including integrated omnichannel solutions in the B2B and B2C sector
- Strong mastery of e-commerce processes, particularly information systems
- A range of industry-specific value-added services
- Significant investment capacity, particularly in shuttle or mechanization
“As an agile and innovation-driven company, Germany offers us and our customers real opportunities for growth. The Group’s strategic priorities in Germany lie both in the existing contract logistics environment, in our main markets and in our ability to support and integrate operations. Our main goal is to make our customers more competitive. », concludes Robin Otto, Managing Director ID Logistics Germany
