Eager to leave Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo offered his services to Paris Saint-Germain. But the capital club refused.
After signing Lionel Messi last summer, Paris Saint-Germain could have signed Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. This is revealed by Le Parisien, which indicates the Portuguese striker from Manchester United has offered his services to the capital club.
It was Jorge Mendes, the Portuguese super-agent, who discussed the Ronaldo case with the Parisian leaders, whether with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi or with the director of football, Luis Campos. All these men know each other well, especially since Mendes has already dealt with PSG this summer for the Vitinha and Renato Sanches files.
Ronaldo gone to stay
The answer ? It’s no ! PSG believe there is no room for another star like Ronaldo in their squad. The capital club is certainly courting Robert Lewandowski, but it is also looking for additional attackers (like the Italian Scamacca) or promising young players (such as the Rémois Ekitike).
For Ronaldo, the quest for a new club promises to be complicated. The Portuguese has already been rejected by Bayern Munich, and the destinations that could suit him are not numerous. Recently, Erik ten Hag, the new coach of Manchester United, assured that his number 7 was not for sale. He seems to be set to stay.
