Wayne Rooney has been appointed coach of DC United, the MLS team where he played between 2018 and 2020.
Wayne Rooney returns to familiar territory. The legendary Manchester United and England striker was appointed coach of DC United on Tuesday, the MLS franchise where he played between 2018 and 2020, in the last years of his playing career.
Reconverted coach, Rooney comes out of a delicate experience in Derby County, where his work was nevertheless praised. Despite the penalty points imposed on the Rams due to their financial problems, and a very young and inexperienced workforce, Rooney had almost managed to maintain his team.
