Siemens and Nvidia have announced the extension of their partnership to create an “industrial metaverse”. In a June 30 press release, the German company said the new partnership aims to transform the manufacturing sector through immersive technologies. The two companies will join forces, in support of the platforms Nvidia Omniverse and Siemens Xcelerator, to create “high-fidelity” digital twins and make them accessible to businesses of all sizes.
Simulate a product from design to deployment
Digital twins are virtual replicas of physical objects that find application in many fields such as engineering, industry or even construction. They offer the possibility to model and simulate construction projects or production lines before migrating to creation and production.
With the merger of Nvidia and Siemens technologies, this digital modeling will reach another level. On the one hand, Omniverse Nvidia’s industrial AI-based virtual world engine enables the creation of real-time digital twins. On the other hand, the Xcelerator platform of Siemens will foster the expansion of the AI ecosystem to a world of industrial automation.

Expand the use of digital twins
The partnership between Nvidia and Siemens will extend the potential of digital twins to all businesses. The goal of the Xcelerator and Omniverse connection is to offer a simulation solution in which industrial customers can identify major problems and provide immediate solutions.
