As transport evolves towards more sustainable solutions, telematics must evolve in the same direction. Sud TéléMatique is already equipping its customers’ electric vehicles in order to maintain the same analysis rate.
Indeed, the Road Link platform allows the manager to publish precise reports on the electricity consumption trip by trip and/or at the end of a precise delivery period, to analyze the vehicle charging times and the mileage actual travel taken from the vehicle’s dashboard.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of sensors generally analyzed by our Road Link on-board solutions in electric vehicles:
– Native mileage,
– Contact time on,
– Engine temperature,
– Power consumption,
– Battery level,
– States of openings (open/closed)
– Vehicle movement (stopped/driving)
– Accelerator pressure
– Telecom operator relaying information
Without forgetting all the information related to geolocation
Road Link also allows the operator to display electrical overconsumption in a very visual way thanks to the Heatmap technology integrated in Road Link during road slowdown phases (traffic jams, red lights, etc.) and to analyze using the Road graph Link the drop in the vehicle’s energy level throughout its mission as well as the recharge time at the end of the journeys.
Concrete case :
On behalf of its client Clovis Location, Sud TéléMatique equipped the first electric Renault Master ZE as part of the European ENERNETMOB project.
This project, initiated by the Capenergies group, aims to create on a transnational scale “an interregional electromobility network” for the movement of electric vehicles in the management of the last urban or suburban mile.
The pilot site whose technical contributors are ENGIE, CLOVIS RENAULT TRUCKS and SUD TELEMATIQUE will make it possible to exploit new data on the optimization of the load according to the availability of solar energy and the use of vehicles.
Ultimately, these results will be able to feed into the “mobility” action plans currently being carried out by the local authorities in the department. This first demonstrator vehicle makes it possible to group daily the production and storage data of the carport (energy, power) with the recharging data (duration, power, energy) and vehicle operating data (kilometres travelled, battery life, truck load, number of deliveries, etc.).
