These heavy goods vehicles will now be able to drive in the Low Emission Zones (ZFE) set up in certain French cities. They will also be able to travel everywhere and without restriction during pollution peaks.
In 2020, Renault Trucks and Saipol, Avril group rolled out their joint B100 offer, aimed at accelerating the development of Oleo100, 100% French rapeseed energy replacing diesel. The manufacturer now offers a dual offer, flexible B100 (which allows the use of B100 and diesel) and exclusive B100 which guarantees single use.
The French public authorities have just officially recognized the B100*, a sustainable alternative fuel, as a lever for decarbonizing road freight transport, by awarding the Crit’Air 1 sticker to heavy goods vehicles approved B100 exclusive.
Christophe Martin, Managing Director of Renault Trucks France, welcomes this decision: “This recognition of the exclusive B100 device as eligible for the Crit’Air 1 sticker formalizes the culmination of a great story, in which we were the first to believe with our partner Avril, nearly 3 years ago. As a leader, we are the one and only to have built an authentic 100% French value proposition: trucks with the Origine France Garantie label, made in France, running on energy produced from French rapeseed. On this entirely sustainable and plant-based energy, here again, we have been pioneers. I would like to thank our pioneering customers who have adopted this energy. »
Today, in France, more than 2,000 Renault Trucks trucks are already running on the B100.
The exclusive B100 option is available on new Renault Trucks T High, T, C and K vehicles equipped with 13-litre 480 hp Euro VI engines and on Renault Trucks D, D Wide and C 2.3m, equipped with Euro VI engines 5 and 8 liters 240 hp and 320 hp.
In after-sales, retrofit operations can be carried out, on vehicles from Euro VI step D, in the Renault Trucks network thanks to conversion kits (from B7 vehicles to exclusive B100; from flexible B100 vehicles to B100 exclusive).
From this summer, the exclusive B100 device will be offered on Renault Trucks used vehicles. This offer, which only the French manufacturer is able to offer, will be available on the 13-litre Euro VI step D engines from 2019.
Finally, transport professionals who acquire a new exclusive B100 truck can also benefit from additional depreciation. Depending on the model, this additional depreciation represents between 40 and 60% of the acquisition cost of the vehicle (chassis and bodywork).
