Equipped with a 60 kWh battery, the new version of Mercedes’ electric van can travel more than 300 km on a single charge.
Appearing on the market at the end of 2018, the Mercedes eVito arrives in a new version. Without touching the aesthetics of the model, the brand with the star integrates a new battery into its electric utility. Replacing the old 41 kWh pack, it has 66 kWh of capacity, 60 of which are useful. Enough to bring the autonomy between 264 and 311 km in the WLTP cycle. This is twice as good as the 150 km WLTP offered by the old version.
While the 85 kW electric powertrain does not change from the previous version, the charging configuration has been readjusted to the capacity of the new battery. The on-board charger thus goes from 7.4 to 11 kW of power. Fast charging is also making an appearance with a DC Combo standard up to 50 kW.
First deliveries in 2022
Available in two lengths (5.14 and 5.37 m), the new electric Vito offers between 6 and 6.6 m3 of useful volume. In payload, count between 833 and 868 kg depending on the version chosen.
In France, the opening of orders is expected in the next few days for deliveries scheduled for 2022.
