The Supra HE 9, 11 and 13 – launched at Solutrans in November 2021 – have all obtained the independent seal of approval from Certicold. Recognized throughout Europe, this label is awarded to systems that fully meet the required regulatory requirements focused on manufacturing quality, precision, reliability and compliance. Units must also pass a series of laboratory tests under extreme temperature conditions, including a detailed audit of the production process.
” Carrier Transicold places great importance on quality assurance for its customerssays Jean-Pascal Vielfaure, Director of Southern Europe, Carrier Transicold. We are extremely proud to add the Certicold Pharma label to the three most potent units in the new Supra HE range. In addition to outstanding performance, reliability and durability, our customers also benefit from an independent guarantee of quality and conformity – which, in pharmaceutical transport, is extremely important. »
The new range of high-efficiency Supra refrigeration units have been designed on the same principles as the Vector® HE 19, the latest generation refrigeration unit for semi-trailers from Carrier Transicold, and contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint of gigatonne customers under Carrier Global’s 2030 environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
The Supra HE combines the mechanical and electrical parts of the system into a quieter, lighter and smaller unit, providing improved efficiency, performance and uptime. The range is made up of five new models of semi-electric refrigeration units, available in four different versions (standard, silent, Nordic and road only). Tested under extreme operating conditions, at outdoor temperatures between -30 C and +55 C, all Supra HE systems offer up to 53% improvement in energy performance compared to models in the standard range, and consume up to 41% less fuel than the old unit, which contributes to a considerable reduction in polluting emissions.
With precise monitoring an integral part of the Certicold approval process, Supra HE units all work in conjunction with the company’s powerful DataCold™ 300 and 600 temperature loggers, which make it easy for operators to access a wealth of important information about system performance.
In addition, this information can be integrated into the Lynx® Fleet digital platform2 from Carrier – which combines refrigeration equipment data with machine learning to help customers make faster, data-driven decisions and improve the effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of their supply chains. ‘supply.
To ensure compliance over time, all Supra units will be tested every three years at a dedicated Certicold Pharma test center, most of which are already present within Carrier Transicold’s service sites in Europe.
