“ With our development of the PH2P truck, we present a concrete product for series production and at the same time reproduce, in cooperation with our partners, a refueling infrastructure tailored to the needs: together we realize a complete infrastructure for green hydrogen, from the production of hydrogen to the production of H2 truckswith electrolyser, logistics and refueling possibilities ». Bernhard Wasner, Managing Director of Paul Group, emphasized during the presentation of the PH2P that his group’s desire is not only to produce a vehicle but to contribute to the development of a complete ecosystem around hydrogen. .
More than 500 km of autonomy
The PH2P offers interesting performances. With a hydrogen tank with a capacity of 30 kilograms and a consumption of 6.5 kg/100 km, it should cross the threshold of 500 kilometers of autonomy (unconfirmed if the truck is fully loaded). Its 120 kW electric motor (peak power of 300 kW) offers it a maximum speed of 85 km/h with a torque of 2800 Nm. The fuel cell supplied by Toyota should provide future buyers with the guarantee of reliability required by the intensive use in daily road transport.
If the major manufacturers, such as Daimler or Hyundai, are more interested in 40-ton heavy goods vehicles, Groupe Paul, partner of the Next Mobility Accelerator Consortium, wishes above all to focus on the deployment of 24-ton carriers and infrastructures that can allow commissioning of regional fleets.
Thus, Maier Korduletsch, builder of service stations, member of the consortium, will simultaneously put the first PH2P into operation in a few months for the service of its stations, but also contribute to the establishment of a Mobility Hub of 22,000 m² on the new A3/A 94 motorway junction at Pocking.
With a hydrogen capacity of up to five tons per day, photovoltaic installations on all roof surfaces as well as more than 30 fast charging places; the new set must serve as a basis for the massive deployment of PH2P in the region concerned. The first customers have already expressed their interest, including Shell, which has just placed an order for 25 PH2Ps.
