Zapping The Blogauto Suzuki Vitara review
The VW ID.2all should be sold under €25,000 in base price. VW announces that it will be a traction with 450 km of autonomy. It will carry equipment specific to Volkswagen EVs such as “Travel Assist”, “IQ.LIGHT” or the specific trip planner for electric vehicles. The ID.2all will be based on the “MEB Entry” electric modular platform.
The production version should be presented in 2025. For the moment, we therefore have a “concept” which already gives the almost definitive direction of the design. And on the 3D views, we have a car that has a strong eye on the Golf. The ID.2all retains a transverse light signature that links the lights together with a line of light.
The stylistic details of the Golf
The rear recovers the typical amount of the VW compact sedan. As for the back, it is signed by a large red band, centered on a VW logo which also turns red. In the remarkable points, the beltline is straight, exactly like on the Golf. The base of the rear window is in line with the beltline.
This belt changes from ID.3, ID.4 or ID.5 which have a belt that goes down from the windshield pillar before going up at the rear. At the rear, on the current IDs, the black color descends into the body part. Here, it stops at the bezel. This visually changes the look of this rear. The concept crushes the height a bit but the ID.2all is still 1.53 m high.
One of many electric vehicles launched by 2026
The ID.2 will be VW’s first electric vehicle that will be traction. It should offer 226 horsepower. Inside, VW plays the extreme simplicity with a horizontal dashboard, signed by two shelves which detach from it. The first is for the on-board instruments, the second, tactile and larger, is for the infotainment. The trunk should offer 490 liters.
This ID.2 will not be the smallest electric VW. The e-Up! will have a descendant announced at less than €20,000 in base price.

Our opinion, by leblogauto.com
The style of the VW IDs confuses the usual Volkswagen buyers. Will returning in a way assumed in the style of the VW Golf will sell more? Without a doubt. Moreover, the other IDs should recover this style if we refer to the VW press release: “One of the elements of this new design language is the C-pillar design developed for the first Golf. The identity. 2all is the first Volkswagen with a new interpretation of this signature”.
If this VW ID.2 really hits the market at €25,000 with 450 km of range, then it will be a formidable competitor. It remains to be seen whether these promises will be kept.
To sum up
Volkswagen presents the ID.2all concept which prefigures an electric “city” car (the size of the Clio 5) which will be under 25,000 €. 450 km, from the trunk, 4 m in length, the VW ID.2all presents above all the new design of the electric VWs which are shamelessly eyeing VW’s bestseller, the Golf.
