The Supervisory Board of Rhenus SE & Co. KG appoints Tobias Bartz as CEO and Chairman of the Management Board from April 1, 2022. On March 31, 2022, Klemens Rethmann, born in 1965, will step down from this position, which he has held since 2008.

He has a wealth of international experience, top-notch networks and is the best choice to lead Rhenus into a promising future.”, says Dr. Marco Schröter, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Rhenus SE & Co. KG. Going forward, Klemens Rethmann, who will focus on his activities within the Executive Board of Rethmann SE, comments: “Together, Tobias and I have worked very closely and successfully since my early days in the Rhenus group. During all these years, we have achieved a lot together, with all members of the Rhenus family. We respect and trust each other. I am therefore proud to be able to name him as my successor”.
Tobias Bartz, born in 1977, started his professional career at Rhenus in 2005 as a management trainee. Since then, he has proven his leadership skills in different international contexts within the Rhenus Group. In particular, he was responsible for the road freight activity of Rhenus in France and Spain. In 2015, he was appointed as a member of the Management Board of Rhenus and led the growth of the Air & Ocean division from Singapore for three years, before returning to Germany in 2018. He will continue in his management role within this division alongside his appointment as CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of the Rhenus group. Tobias Bartz already has a clear goal in mind.
