Bruno Le Maire will ask TotalEnergies to make another effort
“I will ask the boss of TotalEnergies Patrick Pouyanné to make an effort again because the price of fuel remains very high,” said Bruno Le Maire on RMC / BFMTV, indicating that he was to meet the CEO of the oil giant.
“All the effort cannot rest solely on the State”, added the minister again by way of argument.
Last February, TotalEnergies first applied a discount of 10 cents per liter in its service stations in rural areas, before extending it to all its stations on 1 April.
“I hope that TotalEnergies will continue this effort, and why not increase it”, indicated Mr. Le Maire.
Government measures in sight
Remarks made while the executive is currently finalizing its bill on purchasing power as well as an amending budget providing for several measures, including the extension next August of the fuel discount of 18 cents introduced on April 1.
At the same time, the government is considering a new device more targeted at large rollers, which could take over in terms of financial support.
