Zapping The Blogauto MG ZS EV test
The model of the day is therefore the Def’ in its classic 1983 version. The LEGO pack includes 2,336 pieces! Enough to take care of a few evenings assembling it. We will pass on the communication part which consists in bringing together two adventurers (Raha Moharrak and Aldo Kane) somewhere in the Highlands with a yellow Defender, so that they assemble the novelty.
The details of this LEGO Defender go down to the snorkel (the high air intake), desilting plates, shovel, etc. but also the spare wheel on the hood or even the storage gallery on the roof. There are tools for off-road “muddy”, but also “sandy”. A choice.
One model, many possibilities
The assembled model is still 32 cm long, 16 wide and 16 high. Lego says it’s for adults 18+ only. Sounds like a stretch but most LEGOs like the Titanic, the Eiffel Tower, etc. do. A teenager (patient) will obviously be able to assemble it.
The LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90 set will be available from April for €239.99. It’s obviously much cheaper than a real Defender 90 of that time. The price is justified by the number of parts, but also by the fact that the steering is functional as well as the suspensions, the doors and the hood open, and that there are various assembly options including 3 hoods, a version for sand and one for mud. The Def can even be put in a road version.
To sum up
LEGO will release the 1983 Land Rover Defender 90 in early April. The same model can be assembled in “road legal”, but also in all sand or mud terrain. 2,336 pieces all the same to overcome it. This set is officially 18+ and will cost €239.99.
