Zapping The Blogauto Megane e tech review
The prototypes of Glickenhaus, the 007 LMH sported since the beginning of the season a red dress with white parts. This prototype is very beautiful, “old fashioned”, but these colors were the same as the Toyota GR010. At Goodwood, Porsche unveiled its LMDh prototype which will be… red and white.
In short, faced with so much monotony, the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has decided to switch to sky blue. This blue is that of their logo, a little more sustained. It’s “bright as the sky, bright as the future” according to the release. Glickenhaus only enters one car for the entire season, the #708. But, this sky blue car will decide and in that: Thank you! The car also sports the red/white/blue of its logo.
A little more color in Monza
At Monza, for the 6 hours, there will be two Toyota GR010s, an Alpine A480 (ex Rebellion Oreca R13), the Glickenhaus in its new livery and the two Peugeot 9X8s, a priori in gray, which will make their official racing debut.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, alias SCG or Glickenhaus, is a manufacturer of sports cars homologated for the road, but also of prototypes for various races, on circuit or for Bajas. Created in 2004 by James Glickenhaus (who made his fortune in the cinema), the American manufacturer based in Sleepy Hollow is tackling the myth of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (3rd place in 2022) but also the WEC championship with a purely thermal prototype ( motorized by the French Pipo Moteurs).
Glickenhaus pursues the dream of privateers lining up at Le Mans because although a constructor, SCG is more of an automotive craftsman than a constructor worthy of a Toyota, Porsche, Peugeot or even Ferrari.
to summarize
A double thank you to the Scuderia Glickenhaus which in addition to offering competition to Toyota and now Peugeot in Hypercar at the WEC 2022, will change color to a sky blue which seems very becoming.
The 6h of Monza is this weekend with a start given on Sunday July 10 at 12h sharp.
